Baking Scones has a special place in my heart. I am extremely proud of my scone recipe and I am delighted that my very first baking challenge, all those years ago, are a timeless tradition even today.
Each day the Tea Room is open, I freshly bake a batch of scones. My customers watch in wonder as I bring all the ingredients together and then salivate as the aroma spreads around the tea room.
The scones are large in size and are best when slathered with clotted cream and sweet strawberry preserve. You decide whether the cream or jam goes on first. Either way, enjoy a British tradition that dates back to the 11th century.
